Eddie Dye: Master Guitarist

Eddie Dye is a versatile and accomplished guitarist whose career spans decades, genres, and stages. Born in Denver, Colorado, in August 1971, Eddie’s passion for music began at a young age when he received his first guitar at the age of seven as a gift from his parents. Inspired by legendary guitarists like Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen, Paco De Lucía, John McLaughlin, and Al Di Meola, Eddie’s musical journey was shaped by a diverse range of influences. Eddie's love for flamenco guitar took root after first hearing Bryan Adams’ heartfelt ballad, “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?” This moment ignited a lifelong dedication to exploring the emotional depth and technical brilliance of the style. One guitar has now turned into thirty, each a testament to his passion for the instrument. 

Eddie began performing in rock bands in Colorado before moving to Georgia, where he continued playing in bands and eventually transitioned to solo gigs. In 2014, he had the honor of opening for the legendary rock band Foreigner at Disney World in Florida, showcasing his talent to a massive audience. Today, Eddie focuses on performing his original music, blending flamenco, blues, and country into a unique and captivating sound. Additionally, Eddie's original music has appeared in an independent film that was played on IFC in Denver, Colorado, and a live 1-hour radio interview in Chattanooga, TN in 2025.

Eddie honed his craft by studying at the Atlanta Institute of Music, where he refined his skills and broadened his musical horizons. He is also a dedicated music educator, teaching private guitar lessons to up to 60 students per week. His teaching has had a profound impact on aspiring musicians, with many of his students going on to achieve success as professional guitarists. Eddie continues to inspire audiences and students alike with his music, expertise, and love for the guitar. Whether performing on stage or guiding the next generation of musicians, Eddie’s legacy as a guitarist and mentor is undeniable.
